Yahoo! Auctions is the largest auction platform in Japan, and most of what sells there never reaches international buyers. Sellers rarely ship abroad, the interface is Japanese-only, and payment is domestic. The listings are open to anyone — placing a bid is not.
That is the part we solve. Talk to us first and we set you up with a bidding ID, then you browse and bid on Yahoo Auctions yourself. The step-by-step tutorial further down this page shows you exactly how.
Get in touch and we will arrange a bidding ID for you. You search, watch and bid on Yahoo Auctions directly — full control over timing and how high you go. Follow the tutorial below and you will be bidding in minutes.
Prefer not to deal with a Japanese interface, or the auction closes while you are asleep? Send us the link and your maximum bid, and we place it on your behalf. Same fee either way.
Bidding IDs are arranged case by case, after a short conversation. It takes one message:
There is no charge for getting set up. Our fee applies only when you win something.
Each step below opens a screenshot of the real Yahoo Auctions screen, with the buttons marked. You will learn where to find the watchlist, how to read the closing time, how to place a bid, how to ask the seller a question, and how to check seller feedback before you commit.

Winning is the easy part. Everything after it is ours to handle.
Send us the link and your maximum bid, and we will place it for you. The fee is the same whether you bid yourself or we do it for you — use whichever suits the auction.
Our service fee is 8% of the item price for non-members. Members pay a reduced rate — see membership benefits for details.
The full cost of any won auction is made up of:

Auctions are competitive and you will not win every one. If someone outbids you, there is no fee and no obligation. Go straight to the next listing.
Anything legal that appears on Yahoo Auctions Japan. In practice, most of what our customers buy falls into a few categories:
Japan's used camera market is deep, well-priced and honestly graded.
Vintage Seiko through to modern pieces, often well below international dealer prices.
Including limited runs and event exclusives never sold outside Japan.
Guitars and effects pedals in particular.
JDM parts that are difficult or expensive to source elsewhere.
Japanese archive pieces and secondhand designer items.
The same applies to eBay and other auction platforms. Ask us.
Some items cannot leave Japan, and others cannot enter your country. This generally covers weapons and ammunition, live animals and plants, flammable and pressurised goods, counterfeit products, and anything restricted by customs at either end.
Rules differ by destination. If you are unsure, ask before you bid — it takes us a minute to check, and it saves you from winning something that cannot be shipped.
International shipping is priced by weight and volume, so five separate parcels cost considerably more than one.
We hold items at our warehouse free of charge for a reasonable period. Win several auctions over a few weeks and we repack everything into a single shipment. For regular bidders this is usually the largest saving available.
No. We arrange a bidding ID for you after a short conversation. Message us and we will explain how it works for your situation.
No. Our 8% fee applies only when you win an item.
Yes, any time. Send the link and your maximum bid. Many customers bid themselves during the day and hand over auctions that close overnight.
We photograph parcels on arrival. If there is an obvious discrepancy we contact you before shipping and help raise it with the seller. Japanese auction sellers generally have strong feedback incentives, but secondhand goods carry risk and we would rather tell you early than after the item is in transit.
It depends on the method and destination. Express services typically take under a week; economy sea freight can take several weeks. We give you an estimate when you choose.
You do, on arrival in your country. The amount depends on your country's rules and the declared value.
Message us and we will set you up. No charge until you win something.
